One of the best revelations from Lena Dunham’s 39 minute interview with The Hollywood Reporter is that Girls was not her HBO debut. She had a very small role as a nurse in one of the most depressing scenes in Mildred Pierce, in which her head was mostly cut off and her only line was off-screen.
